Usually I wouldn’t make a purchase of something like MiO Liquid Water Enhancer, but it was thrown in free as a package deal after buying 2 cases of water for an out state adventure. Being priced around $4 for “24 servings” which are really 8 oz servings (meaning their are really 12 servings for 16 oz water bottles) I find the price a little
expensive for a “water enhancer”.
What is this stuff? It’s basically like a liquid condensed Kool-Aid (ironically, both made by Kraft) with one shot of it, it can turn your regular water into flavored sugary water. I have tried a few different flavors of it after obtaining of them free, and found that some of them like the orange-tangerine flavor tastes just like “orange drink” as a kid. Some of the other flavors that seem to be a stretch of a flavor at all seemed a little more chemically tasting like Blueberry-Lemonade.
Due to it being able to fit in the palm of a persons hand, and break up the monotony of drinking bottle after bottle of plain H20, it seems like a neat treat like adult branded Kool Aid. The only real draw back on this for me seems to be the price. The cost of 24 bottles of water is roughly 17 cents a piece, whereas with MiO it will cost you that 17 cents a piece to flavor your 8 ounces of water. That’s right it costs more to flavor a 16 oz standard bottle of water than the water itself. That moves this over into the no thanks category no matter how much the orange drink flavor reminds me of my childhood.
Have you tried MiO? Is flavoring worth more than the consumable even it does taste really awesome?
