Relatively, I do not know that many people. According to hard drive manufacturers I probably shouldn’t be hearing from all of the people that I do know that their computers are making noises and having problems all in the same week.

Fact: If your computer is making noises it’s either a fan or a hard drive. (sometimes these items don’t need to make a sound to be failing!)

First off, I would try to back up your hard drive onto something not dependent on your current system. Then I would try to hunt down the problem through a few methods:

Use HDTune to diagnose your problems while in windows.

Try to use Seatools in windows… then in Dos by burning a dvd.

If it isn’t either of these, go ahead and turn it into the local computer buccaneers that will charge you more than a new computer to fix your problems.
