When you go out to eat somewhere (on the go not sit down) do you expect to have free wifi? I don’t care if I am local (near my house or one of my offices), but do appreciate it when I am in a cell data free zone and need to look something up really quick or send out or check email. A trend that seems to have caught on quite a bit lately is people opting to use places like the Mcdonald’s dining area as some sort or work office or hang out area. I recently saw two people conversing, with both of the their computers out… not even consuming any Mcdonald’s food hanging out for over an hour.
Mostly these people seem to be middle aged males that think it is appropriate or necessary for them to use free internet and block off half of the restaurant using the power outlet that was intentionally placed to avoid having customers use it. I don’t really have a problem with people using free wifi, but I draw the line at requiring a outlet or conducting meetings. What do you think? Use it because it’s available?
