If you live in rural or even suburban anywhere and need to get something from a store after 11 pm or before 6 am or simply need somewhere to go everyone knows that Walmart unlike other big box stores is open 24 hours a day. Working late the other day and needing supplies for my camping trip I decided to swing into a local Walmart at 1:30 am and was greeted by the sign pictured. That’s right, urban Walmart stores are not a 24 hour free for all or anything near it.
The thing I don’t get is why they won’t stick to the hours that they hold for a majority of their stores located across most of America. You would think any downsides due to more crime or Walmart weirdos would be offset by more traffic in general. I would simply like a 24 hour store that I can buy more than “the necessities”, is that to much to ask?
