There are a few things in this day and age that most people (including myself) take for granted. One of those things, I noticed today at work while trying to think about what I had already accomplished earlier this week and tying a day to it. I didn’t bother looking at the clock for time/day on my work’s phone system because it is perpetually wrong and differently wrong… I thought electronics should be able to be consistent at keeping time. Being a “computer guy” I thought it was easier to just drop to the lower right and find out the time and date from my computer…

Wrong again. My workplace is somewhat the same yet opposite of most casinos. Unlike casinos there is access to numerous clocks whether it’s on a device or just a regular clock, but just like trying to figure out what time it is in a casino none of them will tell you the correct time or in my case day. Heck, before today I didn’t even know it was an option at my work place to change the date due to it wrecking havoc with many of the licensed programs we use, with most places having time/date locked down.

What I learned: Check your cellphone and don’t count on other people/unowned devices to give to correct answers.
