On a recent adventure to a local liquor store, I stumbled a crossed something horrifying while looking through the clearance wine area. For $3 a bottle + tax they were selling 750 ml of Ed Hardy brand wine. Of course, I didn’t buy it because I find his artwork and clothing lines to be atrocious and in bad taste similar to what I would expect out of a $3 bottle of wine.

Seeing this extremely cheap wine did open my eyes to realize that pretty much anyone can get a few million bottle of cheap wine cranked out if you are willing to throw enough money at it, AND that there must be many people that find Ed Hardy’s tattoos and clothing acceptable enough to fund this wine venture.

Would you buy wine with Ed Hardy’s or any other persons name on it because they were simply famous? Do find you are more likely to purchase a product if there is someone famous telling you the product is good? I doubt it, but let me know your thoughts.
